Biography

I was born in the early 90s in the UK. Or so my mother claims. I'm still sceptical as to if she was actually there. Photos and so called 'memories' be damned.

Ever since I was young I have had a love of stories. I credit this mostly to my parents for providing me with a tape player and many tapes, containing a variety of stories; which I would listen to as a way of getting to sleep! I also credit my two older brothers, with whom I would frequently play unusual board games and role-playing games (a trend that continues to this day!)

I have always identified as a nerd throughout my life; prizing my intelligence (a defence mechanism against bullies in school to be sure!) and a love of exploring other universes, whatever the medium. Books, film, stage, games. I adore finding a well constructed fictional universe that I can explore and lose myself in! Fantasy will probably always be my favourite genre!

It is no wonder then that decades later I am not only an avid gamer and story consumer; but an actor possessed of a vivid imagination and passion for performance!

Developing my skills and love of performance in my teens, including spending a year with a touring T.I.E. company called Peer Productions in 2011; I knew that acting was what I wanted to do with my life.

I moved to London in 2015, and have lived here ever since, furthering my acting training at The Bridge Theatre Training Company; and trying to make a living as an actor!

It may surprise you to hear this, but trying to make a living purely as an actor and creative is pretty hard in today's society! As part of this I am fortunate enough to be able work as a professional Dungeon Master, running games of Dungeons and Dragons and other RPGs for people. I have been a part of the country's only professional GM agency, Rolldark, since its inception four years ago!

Despite this and other opportunities, earning a living as a creative is not easy (your mind is still blown from the last paragraph, right?) This has certainly been exacerbated by my struggles with mental health. I have known for many years that I suffer with depression, but have only recently been diagnosed with ADHD; a diagnosis that made a whole mountain of pennies drop.

But I love what I do. And I'm damn good at it, if I do say so myself. I have had the privilege of meeting and working with so many wonderful individuals in this industry, some of whom I consider lifelong friends; and I only want to meet and work with more people like that.

There are so many clichés surrounding actors and acting (God knows I'm good at playing up to them!) but they're clichés for a reason, and it really is true to say: There's no business like show business!
